Goofs

1. When shot by Zombie Guards, actor Sid James's (Jimmy Hall) hat moves from atop of his head, & lolls behind, only to appear in the next edit - back in place on top of his head.

2. Vera Day's (Sheila) infection mark takes quite some time to appear upon her chest, she pants and sighs in apparent pain, but there is no mark for ages, then suddenly the mark appears - as if by magic.

3. Fleeing Broadheads death scene Brian Donlevy (Quatermass) is replaced by a body double, to do a running sequence between pipes & machinery. Trouble is the body double looks totally unlike Donlevy, & must be a good foot taller & a good few pounds lighter too.

4. When Quatermass returns to Lomax's Office after his visit to Winnerden, a reflection in a glass unit reveals a studio light.

5. During a shot near the end of the film, when the 'Things' burst from their Domes, one of the creatures loll's forward enough for us to see a huge piece of rubber waffle on it's underside.

6. The underside of 'Broadhead's' (Tom Chatto) suit is sometimes seen coated with black goo, & other times completely free of the mess.

1.Actor John Rae appears as the same character in this film as he did in the original TV version.

2.The Shell Haven Oil Refinery location in Essex, which was used in the television serial was used again in this film.

3.'Quatermass 2'or'II' was deemed to be the first film to use a number in it's title, indicating that it was in fact a sequel. Although Nigel Kneale has pointed out that the title was used as an indicator to the Professors doomed Rocket.

4. Actress Vera Day had a minor car accident on the way to the studio to film her scenes.

5. Make-up man Phil Leakey revealed that Tom Chatto's make for the part of Broadhead, was industrial soap & oil.

6. Titanium Tetrachloride was used to achieve the smouldering effect for Mr Chatto's make-up.
